NOTE: Not at all an April Fools video. I wanted to do one, but various things ate up time. Thus, we have this one pushed up a bit instead. Don't take anything in here as a joke just because of the posting date, please and thank you.
HMS Cossack is sometimes cited as 'the most famous Tribal'. Due in large part to her participation in the Altmark Incident. A gross violation of Norwegian neutrality to rescue prisoners taken during Graf Spee's raiding.
I would argue that HMCS Haida is arguably more famous, but that takes nothing from Cossack. Between Altmark, engaging Bismarck, and her service at Narvik? This ship got around. And did quite a bit for how short her life truly was.
Also: The 'cutlasses on Altmark' thing is argued in how true it is. I included it here, but it's certainly in line with other naval tall tales. Make of that what you will.
