Making A Smoky Quartz Triangular Pendant: A Silversmithing Tutorial

Описание: This video tutorial shows me making a setting for a large triangular faceted Smoky Quartz. This is an improvement on a design I made my wife years ago. The materials I used were: 18 gauge sterling silver sheet, 8 gauge sterling half-round wire, and 14 gauge sterling round wire This one includes the basic steps to build a setting for a large triangular faceted stone. As always I am using exclusively hard silver solder, and I use My-T-Flux from Rio Grande. I would rate this one as an advanced project. This video is a bit longer, but is a detailed tutorial, so I think it is worth the watch time. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, as I've taught people for most of my life. This hobby turned into a fun side gig for me for years while I taught public school. I love suggestions and hearing about others' experiences. What is your favorite project?
