The tide was pushing in, adding extra power to the waves and making them stronger, steeper, and way more surfable. You could feel the energy in the lineup. Everyone was watching. Everyone knew it was special.
Surf like this on the Dutch coast doesn’t happen often. Sometimes you wait months for a day like this. When it finally shows up, it feels like a gift.
Freezing cold water, offshore wind, perfect winter swell in the North Sea this is why we keep paddling out.
