Описание: Demo conducted in a science lab that talks about and shows how a solid fuel decomposes and "burns" when heat is applied. When something burns it must first be "converted" into a vapor and then that vapor, with proper air and heat present, is what really burns. So, when firefighters extinguish a Class A fire by applying water what they are really doing is stopping pyrolysis which thus stops the production of flammable vapors and thus the fire goes out. It is the same concept as when extinguishing a Flammable gas fire; you shut off the supply of fuel (flammable vapors)
