Argos is in the North Peloponnese. It is 135 km away from Athens and 11 km away from Nafplio. A village since ancient times, it has been inhabited for the past 7000 years. It is the oldest city in the country. Numerous ancient monuments can be found, the most famous of which is the Heraion and the castle of the ancient Acropolis built on Larissa Hill.
The nearby beaches have all very clean water, a well-developed tourist infrastructure, beach bars, lifeguards and quality hotels. It is an ideal place for family holidays.
