Zomato Hikes Fees Again! Your favorite food just got more expensive.

If you are planning to order your next meal on Zomato, be prepared to pay more. On Friday, March 20, 2026, the food delivery giant increased its Platform Fee by nearly 19%.

What has changed?

New Base Fee: Increased from ₹12.50 to ₹14.90 (Pre-GST).

Final Cost: After adding 18% GST, you will pay roughly ₹17.58 per order just as a platform fee.

Why the hike? Reports suggest rising crude oil prices (due to the West Asia conflict) and the need for higher profitability are driving this change.

The Competition: While Zomato’s fee is now higher (excluding tax), rival Swiggy remains at ₹14.99 (inclusive of tax), and Magicpin has decided to keep its fees stable for now.
