Описание: National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Hospital recently introduced a versatile device that can perform a variety of surgical procedures. Called the Mobile Hybrid Operating Room, the system was inspired by autonomous driving technology. The state-of-the-art machine combines intraoperative 3D imaging and positioning guidance functions, and thanks to its mobility, any ordinary operating room can be turned into a hybrid operating room. It is a CT scanner that can produce 3D images. It can perform orthopedic, neurological, thoracic, cardiovascular, and even facial plastic surgical procedures, all of which require very sophisticated imaging – which this machine can produce.

We are now able to use this hybrid operating room which combines the ARTIS pheno angiography system with navigation, to achieve precise nail placement for some more difficult fractures like in the pelvis, or some of the more challenging spinal surgeries.

The machine’s autonomous driving technology can also alleviate the shortage of medical staff. The half-ton equipment can be operated with a remote control, with much improved surgical accuracy and efficiency.
