On Monday, February 16, 2026, a youth hockey game at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, turned into a scene of horror. Pawtucket Police identified the suspect as Robert Dorgan, a 56-year-old North Providence resident, who opened fire in the stands during a "Senior Night" game between Coventry and Blackstone Valley high schools. The shooting, which police have classified as a targeted act of domestic violence, resulted in the deaths of three people—including the perpetrator—and left three others in critical condition.
