In this explore me and NellyD call in at an abandoned pub just over the Welsh boarder. We were passing through the area so decided to check this one out.
History
Built in the early 19th century on a crossroads on the boarder between wales and England. Once popular with hikers and travellers. In 2014 applications were submitted to convert the pub into housing. A petition and written objections were submitted to save this once prosperous inn. The application was refused and dismissed in 2016. However in 2019 the fight was lost and permission was granted for residential use. 6 years later it’s still in limbo waiting for renovation.
