Benefit For Tre Carter

Описание: It's been almost a week since a former North Henderson High School football star drowned.

19-year-old Tre Carter was swimming in Lake Summit last Monday when he complained of a cramp and couldn't make it to shore.

On Saturday, a benefit was held to raise money for his funeral expenses.

Dozens of people came out to support Carter's family at Patton Park in Hendersonville.

Tre Carter's parents say they are still in shock but appreciate the community support.

Sharon Edgerton, Tre Carter's mother, he lived life to the very fullest...He knew God.

Morris Carter, Tre Carter's father, Tre was amazing...We didn't even realize how far my son went.

A candlelight vigil was also held last night.
