Описание: High energy astrophysics as a part of DCU's MSc in Astrophysics and Relativity.

High energy astrophysics study the most violent processes in the Universe.
These processes can be monitored by measuring the high-energy electromagnetic radiation.

Telescopes of the 21st century are able to measure gamma-rays being trillion times more energetic than an optical light photon.

The course involves three main strands: Astrophysics, Relativity, and Computational Science and Data Analysis. All topics are covered in the first semester of the course, laying the foundations for development of these topics in the second semester. The course allows students to specialise in either General Relativity or Astrophysics.
