Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Tilaï has called Salt Spring Island home since 1996. Though working as a full-time nurse, photography has been their true passion ever since their mum gifted them a Canon DSLR in 2010, sparking an interest that quickly became a way of life.
After exploring various subjects, from landscapes to product photography, Tilaï found his niche in wildlife photography following a transformative experience photographing Pacific coastal wolves. Today, his work is inspired by nature and wildlife, with a strong focus on ethical conservation and advocating for the protection of wild spaces.
