- Want to know where you should place bass absorbers in your room and why so many people get this wrong? Well today we’re going to talk about ideal bass absorber panel placement. Low frequency energy issues are pressure related so you need a pressure reactive device, something that absorbs pressure or deals with pressure to create absorption. Foam is not one of them. Please don’t use foam and call it a bass absorber because it’s not. Low frequency is about pressure and low frequency absorption is about managing that pressure. So what do you need to do? Where is the pressure in the room?
Well in today's video you'll learn:
1. Why the pressure in the room is always greatest around the room boundary surfaces and how it spreads throughout the room to the middle also,
2. Why the pressure around your speakers is an important starting point especially if working on a tight budget and
3. Why, in an ideal situation, you would treat all boundary surfaces and not just the corners as so many people seem to recommend (yet another myth that needs debunking).
So enjoy the video and as always please let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks
Dennis
