//The Guardian pushes back against the incursion. Taken are among the invaders.

Ikora: Vex. Inside the walls of the Last City. How could this happen? How could Lakshmi do this? We need this incursion ended. Now. Before any more lives are lost.

//The Guardian enters the backdoor into the Vex Network.

Mithrax: The network entrance is vulnerable! Feed data into the terminal to overload the Vex defenses.

//The terminal connection is disrupted by the Vex.

Mithrax: The Vex are attempting to lock out the terminal. Destroy countermeasures to keep it operating!

//The Vex attempt to reencrypt the Network.

Mithrax: The network attempts to reencrypt. Disrupt the password sequence and continue the splice.

//The Guardian overrides the terminal passcode.

Ikora: Osiris, what's your position? Osiris?

Saint-14: He was right behind me! I — I have lost him!

Ikora: Osiris, respond!

//The Guardian continues to attempt to open the vortex.

Mithrax: Vex defenses have been reset. But like circuits, they can be overloaded. Continue the assault!

Mithrax: Eliksni have feared Guardian ferocity for centuries. Turn your fury on the Vex!

Mithrax: Do not let the machine-spawn divert your attention. Keep it fixed on the terminal.

Mithrax: The vortex resists manifestation. A final surge of data will force it into being!

Mithrax: I sense the Vex mind. It lashes out with something like desperation. They are coming for you!

Mithrax: Complete the final unlock sequence to manifest the vortex!

Mithrax: The splice is complete! Enter quickly!

//The Guardian enters the vortex.

Mithrax: Guardian! There are too many Vex! We need that portal closed!

Saint-14: Ikora, Zavala, any Guardian who can hear us! We are in need of aid! Is anyone near our position?

Mithrax: We are alone. Then... we must fight as if this is our last.

//The Guardian defeats Portunos, Subjgugated Mind.
