The video demonstrates how to show the total amount on the purchase order list page using the display method in Dynamics 365.
A display method is simply a calculated field, where you perform some calculation of business logic and return a value. The purchase order total amount shown on the All purchase order list page facilitates the procurement department to overview easily the amounts instead of going to the Totals page to avoid clicking a few extra clicks. The display method though has overhead on performance, but to some extent can be mitigated by adding an appropriate decorator to cache the method.
