Is it purple? Blue? Orange? Depending on the lighting, yes. Hard to define, easy on the eyes. Factory Custom Paint is one of those things that is distinctly H-D.

Inspired by the hue-shifting paints of our past, Mystic Shift is poised to put onlookers into a trance. According to our paint team, the darker tones were chosen to allow for added depth and to show off the hues of the effect pigment as light hits the surfaces from different angles. Decisions are made on how much travel (how a color changes as your eye moves across the surface), effect size, and gloss level should be incorporated into the paint. We've always been known for trend-setting, durable paint sets, and this year has produced some of our best work to date.

Fun Facts about Mystic Shift:
🔮 During production, the effect has been designed into the base coat before clear coating
🔮 The Factory Custom Paint tank medallion is a 3-piece zinc diecast metal with finely detailed texturing under the transparent color triangles that dance in the sunlight and give a multicolor effect depending on how the different angles catch the light
🔮 Paint options for the upcoming year are tested on curved panels to see how light plays with the colors prior to being chosen to go into production
🔮 You inspire us. We often observe what paint trends riders are choosing for custom builds and take that into consideration when choosing to develop new color hues. From there, we add our signature H-D paint development processes to claim our own spaces across the color spectrum.
