Описание: Released in January of 1953, U.S. Civil Defense in Action updates the public on America's progress in atomic protection. The film is composed of clips from several other government productions including Duck and Cover and School for Survival. The protection measures of four cities are featured, as well as a brief speech by acting Federal Civil Defense Administration Director James Wadsworth. Wadsworth, a New York politician and future Ambassador to the United Nations, would the direct the nation's civil defense for only four months before being replaced by Nebraska governor Val Peterson.
