Описание: In a major crackdown in Amravati, Maharashtra, police have arrested eight individuals for allegedly circulating obscene videos of minor girls on social media, triggering a full-scale investigation. The case came to light on April 11 after objectionable clips linked to the Paratwada area began surfacing online, prompting police to register an FIR suo motu even before victims came forward. So far, eight accused have been taken into custody, with four remanded to police custody by the Achalpur court till April 23. Investigators have seized key electronic devices including laptops, tablets, hard disks, and mobile phones, which are being sent for forensic analysis to retrieve deleted data. A Special Investigation Team has been formed to fast-track the probe, with officials indicating that the network may be larger and more arrests are likely. Authorities are also focusing on victim support, offering counselling to affected girls and their families while assuring confidentiality and security.
