From exploring ancient temples to witnessing the grandeur of Chhath Puja for the first time, and from capturing vibrant local markets to feeling the energy of evening aarti—this vlog is a complete experience in itself.

🌄 DAY 1 IN DEHRADUN – FULL JOURNEY
🛕 1. TAPKESHWAR MAHADEV TEMPLE – A SPIRITUAL MORNING

Our journey begins with one of Dehradun’s most iconic and spiritually powerful temples—Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Nestled inside a natural cave, this temple is known for the water droplets that naturally fall onto the Shiva Linga, giving it the name ‘Tapkeshwar’ (Tapak = drip).

As soon as we entered the temple premises, the fresh mountain breeze, the sound of flowing water, the chants of “Har Har Mahadev,” and the peaceful atmosphere made us feel instantly connected to the divine. The cave walls, natural formations, and centuries-old energy of the temple truly make it a must-visit destination when in Dehradun.

I captured some stunning cinematic shots here using both DJI Action 4 and my iPhone 15, so you can really feel the ambience of this sacred place.

🌅 2. UNEXPECTED EXPERIENCE – OUR FIRST CHHATH PUJA

One of the most surprising and beautiful moments of this trip was experiencing Chhath Puja for the first time in our lives. We had no idea we’d witness something so powerful and emotional in Dehradun.

The devotees dressed in traditional attire, their devotion to the Sun God, the beautifully decorated ghat, and the overall aura of the festival filled our hearts with joy. Chhath Puja is not just a festival—it’s an emotion. The discipline, purity, and collective prayer happening around us was mesmerizing.

Witnessing the rituals, the offering of ‘Arghya,’ and the spiritual songs echoing around felt like a completely new cultural experience. I made sure to capture these magical moments to share them with all of you.

🕯️ 3. EVENING TAPKESHWAR AARTI – POWERFUL & MESMERIZING

As the sun began to set, we stayed back at Tapkeshwar Temple to watch the evening aarti, and trust me—this was one of the most intense and spiritually uplifting parts of the entire day.

The sound of conch shells, the rhythm of the bells, and the chanting of mantras created an atmosphere filled with devotion. The Shivling glowing under the cave lights, the priests performing the rituals, and the collective spiritual energy was something you have to experience at least once in your life.

Through the lens of DJI Action 4 and iPhone 15, the lighting looked magical, and I tried my best to preserve the true feeling of that divine moment.

🛍️ 4. PALTAN BAZAR – SHOPPING, FOOD & LOCAL VIBES

After the spiritually packed day, we decided to explore the famous Paltan Bazar, Dehradun’s bustling and vibrant local market.

From woolen clothes to handicrafts, souvenirs, footwear, snacks, and Dehradun-special items, you’ll find everything here. The ambience of the market during the evening is lively, colorful, and full of energy.
We walked through the streets, enjoyed some local snacks, interacted with shopkeepers, and soaked in the culture of the city.

If you’re visiting Dehradun, Paltan Bazar is a must-explore spot for shopping lovers, foodies, and anyone wanting to feel the real vibe of the city.
