Rahul Gandhi has chosen Channi as the party's CM candidate after a long drawn out battle with Sidhu, who has often been a thorn in the side of the party. He had claimed earlier that the top command wants a 'puppet CM which they can control.' But the Congress party has claimed that they did a tele-poll based on which the choice was made.
