ಡಾ.ವಾಸುದೇವ್ ಅವರು 1973 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಭಾರತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ 20 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ತಾಮ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ 6 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕನ್ಸೋರ್ಟಿಯಮ್ ಮತ್ತು M/s ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಕಾಪರ್ ಕಂ. ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಲೋಹ ಖನಿಜ ಪರಿಶೋಧನೆ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದರು.
"Dr.Vasudev started his professional career as an Economic Geologist in year 1973 with the Karnataka State Dept. of Mines and Geology, India. During his 20 years tenure in the State Department he worked as a Mining Geologist for 6 years at the Karnataka Copper Consortium and M/s Chitradurga Copper Co. Ltd. There after he continued to serve the State Dept. as a Geologist incharge of planning and execution of metalliferous mineral exploration projects.
1984 ರಿಂದ 2000 ರ ನಡುವೆ, ಡಾ.ವಾಸುದೇವ್ ಅವರು ಯುಕೆ ಎಕ್ಸೆಟರ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಡಾ. ಬ್ರಿಯಾನ್ ಚಾಡ್ವಿಕ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ಧಾರ್ವಾರ್ ಕ್ರಾಟನ್‌ನ ಗ್ರೀನ್‌ಸ್ಟೋನ್ ಬೆಲ್ಟ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಭೂವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಮ್ಯಾಪಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಪರಿಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ಧಾರ್ವಾರ್ ಕ್ರಾಟನ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಗದ ರಚನೆ, ಸ್ಟ್ರಾಟಿಗ್ರಫಿ ಮತ್ತು ಟೆಕ್ಟೋನಿಕ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Between 1984 to 2000, Dr.Vasudev has carried out geological mapping and conceptual exploration for gold in the greenstone belts of the Dharwar Craton, South India, with Dr. Brian Chadwick, a renowned Structural Geologist at Exeter University, UK. Together, they have worked out the structure, stratigraphy and tectonics of a major portion of the Dharwar Craton.
ವಾಸುದೇವ್ ಜಿಯೋಮೈಸೋರ್ ಸರ್ವಿಸಸ್ (ಇಂಡಿಯಾ) ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. Ltd. ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 1994 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನ, ಬೇಸ್ಮೆಟಲ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು Ni-PGM ಗಳಿಗೆ ಟಾರ್ಗೆಟ್ ಜನರೇಟರ್ ಆಗಿ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅವರು ಜಿಯೋಮೈಸೋರ್ ಸರ್ವೀಸಸ್ (ಇಂಡಿಯಾ) ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿನರಲ್ ಎಕ್ಸ್‌ಪ್ಲೋರೇಶನ್‌ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು 10 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಜಿಯೋಮೈಸೋರ್ ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಮಂಡಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅವರು ಡೆಕ್ಕನ್ ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಮೈನ್ಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ಗೆ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಾಸುದೇವ್ ಅವರು ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 1995 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾದ ಚಿನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಕಲ್ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಡ್ಡಿಕೊಂಡರು, ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು 25 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಣಿಗಳು, 2 ನಿಕಲ್ ಗಣಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ತಾಮ್ರದ ಗಣಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
Vasudev started his career as the Chief Geologist with Geomysore Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Sept 1994 as a Target Generator for gold, basemetals & Ni-PGMs. Currently he is working as Director of Mineral Exploration in Geomysore Services (India) Pvt Ltd. He served as a Director on the Board of Geomysore Services for 10 years. Besides, he is also a Consultant to Deccan Gold Mines Ltd. Vasudev had exposure to gold and nickel deposits of Western Australia in October 1995 when he visited about 25 gold mines, 2 nickel mines and one Copper Mine.
ಡಾ.ವಾಸುದೇವ್ ಅವರು FIMI (ಫೆಡರೇಶನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಮಿನರಲ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್, ನವದೆಹಲಿ) ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ, ಭಾರತದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಖನಿಜ ನೀತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕರಡು MMDR ಮಸೂದೆ 2009-2011 ಮತ್ತು 2014-15 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಲು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. . ಅವರು ನಾನ್-ಫೆರಸ್ ಲೋಹಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಲೋಹಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ FIMI ಸ್ಥಾಯಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Dr.Vasudev, as a representative of FIMI (Federation of Indian Mineral Industries, New Delhi), has been actively associated with the National Mineral Policy of India and contributed to the refinement of the Draft MMDR Bill 2009-2011 and again in 2014-15. He is the Chairman of the FIMI Standing Committee on Non-Ferrous Metals and Precious Metals.
