The family of the late anti-apartheid activist, Ernest Dipale says they hope the reopened inquest into his death will finally unveil the truth. Dipale allegedly committed suicide at the then John Vorster Square Police Station in Johannesburg on the 8th of August 1982, six months after trade unionist, Neil Aggett, died in similar circumstances. The security branch of the police claimed that both men had committed suicide, but their families believe they were murdered. The Dipale family is represented by the National Prosecuting Authority at the inquest that's being conducted virtually.
