Arranged by Mel Orris, this thrilling and elegant Waltz from The Nutcracker is set here for large flute forces, but still features moments of lightness and grace. As well as being a perennial Christmas favorite, this piece also featured in Disney's Fantasia and has been included in the BBC's "Ten Pieces" list.
Honorable mention, NFA Newly Published Music Competition
I found it to be too complicated to include the opening section given the inconsistent tempos in the cadenza, so this is just the main part of the waltz.
