Star Wars in 2026 - What's Coming Out?

Описание: Hello there, Merry Christmas and happy new year. 2025 is pretty much done so it's time to look ahead to next year at what's coming out in 2026 in a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars returns to theaters for the first time since 2019 with 'The Mandalorian and Grogu' releasing on May 22, 2026. Directed by Jon Favreau, we see the return of the Mandalorian Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his foundling Grogu along with Sigourney Weaver joining the cast. Rebels character Zeb Orrelios and Clone Wars movie character Rotta the Hutt are also set to appear.

Maul: Shadow Lord sees Sam Witwer return to voice the character of Maul. Not much is known about the show just yet apart from Maul returning to rebuild a criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire.

Star Wars Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi. Star Wars' first full anime show is set to release in 2026, following the adventures of new Jedi Kara as she searches for her father, a lightsaber smith in the galaxy. This follows the two episodes from Volumes 1 and 3 of Star Wars Visions, The Ninth Jedi and Child of Hope.

Rumours that Ahsoka Season 2 will release in 2026 are swirling again - the show finished shooting back in October so a release towards the end of 2026 looks likely. Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Mary Elizabeth Winstead return alongside Eman Esfandi, Lars Mikkelsen, Ivanna Sakhno and are joined by Rory McCann who has been recast as Baylan Skoll after Ray Stevenson's tragic passing. Unconfirmed to release next year but we can hope.

Video games will be making a comeback in 2026 with two new games - Star Wars Zero Company and Star Wars Galactic Racer.

The books and comics will continue to release as well as the Star Wars mainline wraps up with issue 10 and Legacy of Vader concludes with Issue 12. Shadow of Maul acts as a 5-issue prequel to Maul: Shadow Lord and 'Tsukumo', a manga set in the Visions universe is set to release as well.

Star Wars Outlaws: Low Red Moon by Mike Chen, Eyes Like Stars by Ashley Poston, Star Wars Legacy by Madeline Roux and Reign of the Empire: Edge of the Abyss by Rebecca Roanhorse round out the new canon book releases for 2026.
