In her talk, 'Women in STEM: can you recover from a leaky pipeline?' Sonal Bhadane talks about the gender inequalities within STEM and the social systems that perpetuate female failure within these industries. Socio-cultural norms, institutional systems, and negative discourse all contribute to female STEM dropout rates, thus a facilitator in creating a leak in the pipeline. This leak can be fixed, and it's up to us as members of society to keep the conversation going.
