Описание: Annual Oregon State Parks Adventure: Asta Hits the Road 🏍️🐾
Every year, we carve out time to explore the breathtaking Oregon State Parks system, and this year’s journey was one for the books. We spent a full week immersed in the natural beauty of Ainsworth State Park, nestled in Cascade Locks along the mighty Columbia River Gorge. Towering cliffs, lush forests, and the sound of rushing water made for a perfect backdrop to unwind and roam.
But the real star of the trip? Asta, our fearless Miniature Schnauzer, who had his first taste of motorcycle life — and absolutely loved it. After a few test rides, he took to it like a pro, perched confidently on the bike like he was born to ride. Now he insists on joining every outing, ears flapping in the wind, eyes scanning the horizon like a seasoned road warrior.
Together, we cruised through some of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic spots:
🌊 Multnomah Falls, OR – where mist from the cascading waters cooled us off mid-ride
🏞️ Crown Point, OR – offering sweeping views of the Gorge from the historic Vista House
🌲 Mount Hood Village, OR – tucked beneath Oregon’s tallest peak
❄️ Government Camp, OR – a charming alpine town with crisp mountain air
🌾 Trout Lake, WA – a peaceful escape across the state line, surrounded by meadows and volcano views
From winding roads to scenic overlooks, this trip was a blend of nature, freedom, and a little bit of fur-covered adventure. Asta’s transformation from lap dog to leather-clad co-pilot added a whole new layer of joy to the journey. Recordings of Wasp action camera mounted on 2021 Harley-Davidson Sport Glide. Most recordings are from recreational rides with my wife riding her 2020 Harley-Davidson Low Rider. Other rides will include American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard Riders of Northern California. I upload these videos for those who may not be able to ride due to health, disability, or its just too nasty outside.
