I wanted to see this job with concrete being poured. Wait for the tide - and dry weather. A beautiful day arrived with a small chilly wind and the tide going out . just the job. When I arrived the concrete for the buttressing was booked for 3.00 pm so I wandered about looking at the other activity. They were sending concrete up to the Railway - up a pipe - and also sending some pipes - for drainage? Two JCBs at work here and friendly guys all round. As for the 3.00 concrete - it didn't happen!! :(
Ferryside is near the mouth of the River Towy (Afon Tywi in Welsh) and across the river you can see Llansteffan.
