Dusk were a French melodic death metal band and "Pure and Obscure" was their 2nd demo.
Not a lot is known about the band, but "Pure and Obscure" is a very melancholic and depressive take on the melodeath style and ends up being fairly diverse and captivating for almost 30 minutes of runtime. As someone that isn't a really big fan of melodic death metal, Dusk manages to catch your attention very well, keeping it always high with somber melodies that lead into very aggressive guitar leads.
