1.27.22 | By Usman | TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan- Protests broke out tonight in NYC after video circulating of Tyre Nichols being beaten by Memphis Police Officers. Protests were scattered between those in Union Square and Times Square. A total of 3 protestors had been arrested for damaging and going on top of police vehicles. Public Advocate Jumane Williams spoke and condemned the actions of the officers involved in the beaten of Nichols. After speeches Protestors headed towards the West Side but were blocked by NYPD on 42nd Street. Protests then disbursed at the Port Authority Bud Terminal
