Описание: Customising a Hot Wheels 52938 Lancia Stratos, produced by Hot Wheels from 2002 to present.

The Lancia Stratos was the dominant rally car of the 1970s. Its creation was led by Bertone who noted that Lancia were in need of a replacement for their successful yet ageing Fulvia. Bertone built the Stratos Zero concept car in 1970 and by the following year, the Stratos HF Concept was unveiled. Prototypes were unleashed onto rally and road racing stages where it proved successful before it was homologated for the World Rally Championship in 1974.

The Stratos would bring Lancia the Manufacturer's Championship for three consecutive years in 1974, 1975, and 1976. While it was ousted by Lancia owners Fiat in favour of their 131 Abarth in 1977, it continued to be successful without Fiats support. Stratos' continued to take rally victories on the world scene as late as 1981.

I've taken this bright blue Hot Wheels model and converted it to a 1976 replica as driven by Sandro Munari and co-driven by Silvio Maiga. The decals were a bit of a nightmare to apply and aren't the most comprehensive, but it did give me the opportunity to recount the tale of one of rallying's most iconic machines.
