Skiing Across Time Zones - Lookout Pass, Idaho

Описание: Jessica and I were visiting family in western Montana this December, but brought our skis so we could enjoy some snow! We decided to check out Lookout Pass, which is directly on I-90 on the border of Montana and Idaho. I figured it would make a good sequel to the "Skiing Across State Lines" video at Heavenly.

What I didn't realize was that northern Idaho, the thin strip where it barely separates Montana from Washington state, operates on Pacific time, due to its proximity to Spokane; similar to how parts of eastern Oregon are on Mountain time because of how close they are to Boise.

That means, I wasn't just skiing across state lines, I was travelling through time on skis! (Ok not really, but my phone's clock must have been jumping around all day!)

Sadly, I contracted a nasty cold from my brother in law, and it hit me as we were driving to the mountain. We ended up cutting the day short, but it sure was a fun place to ski.

I wish I had brought my ‪@momentskisusa‬ Wildcat 108's as there was quite a lot of fresh powder and the off-piste would have been nice to explore, but then again I was essentially skiing alone, so I wouldn't have been super comfortable going off the trail. It still felt good sliding down groomers on my ‪@thisisarmada‬ Declivity 92ti's.
