We take a look at simple harmonic motion from the perspective of differential equations. We convert Newton's Second Law to a second order ODE and solve it. We then convert the solution from a physics course, in terms of the amplitude, angular frequency, and phase shift into the solution that we found. Forget using trig. identities: we do it with Euler's formula.
