1. Containers Share the Host Kernel
All containers running on the same host use the same Linux kernel. This is fundamental to how containers work and has major security implications.

2. Shared Kernel = Shared Security Fate
A single kernel vulnerability can compromise the host and all containers. When the kernel is exploited, all isolation breaks down.

3. Containers ≠ Security Boundaries
Containers were designed for process isolation and resource management, not for running untrusted code. Don't treat them as security sandboxes.

4. Defense in Depth is Essential
No single security control is enough. Layer multiple security measures: secure images, least privilege, network policies, runtime monitoring, and kernel hardening.

5. Understand Your Threat Model
Choose the right isolation technology for your use case:
-Trusted workloads: Containers are great
Untrusted workloads: Consider VMs, gVisor, or Kata Containers
