A nutrition crisis is unfolding in South Sudan, while the world is not watching. 1.4 million children under five will likely suffer from acute malnutrition in 2021. Over 300,000 will suffer from the severest form of malnutrition which can kill in just a few days if no help is given.
UNICEF South Sudan is grateful for the support from our trusted nutrition donors, including the European Union, the German National Committee for UNICEF, UK Aid, USAID. UNICEF would also like to thank the many countries supporting our Humanitarian Action for Children appeal, allowing us to respond quickly to any emergency, including Belgium, Canada, Norway, and Sweden.
