आदिशक्ते जगन्मातर्भक्तानुग्रहकारिणि।
सर्वत्र व्यापिकेऽनन्ते श्रीसंध्ये ते नमोऽस्तुते॥

त्वमेव संध्या गायत्री सावित्रि च सरस्वती।
ब्रह्मणी वैष्णवी रौद्री रक्तश्वेता सितेतरा॥

रुद्रलोक गतं त्वं हि विष्णुलोकनिवासिनी।
त्वमेव ब्रह्मणो लोकेऽमर्त्यानुग्रहकारिणी॥

भूर्लोकस्था त्वमेवासि धरित्री लोकधारिणी।
भुवर्लोके वायुशक्तिः स्वर्लोके तेजसां निधिः॥

महर्लोके महासिद्धिःजनर्लोके जनेत्यपि।
तपस्विनी तपोलोके सत्यलोके तु सत्यवाक्॥

तत परापरा शक्तिः परमा त्वं हि गीयसे।
इच्छाशक्तिः क्रियाशक्तिर्ज्ञानशक्तिस्त्रिशक्तिदा॥

हंसस्था गरुडारूढ़ा तथा वृषभवाहिनी।
ऋग्वेदाध्यायिनी भूमौ दृश्यते या तपस्विभिः॥

यजुर्वेदं पठन्ती च अन्तरिक्षे विराजते।
या सामगापि सर्वेषु भ्राम्यमाणा तथा भुवि॥

किमन्यद् बहुनोक्तेन यत्किंचिज्जगतीत्रये।
तत्सर्वं त्वं महादेवि श्रिये संध्ये नमोऽस्तु ते॥

Gayaan Praanan Traayate Ya Sa Gayatri

Goddess Gayatri protects her devotees. This is the message that our scriptures give us. Gayatri is called the mother of Vedas. It is the repository of all knowledge. Lord Shri Krishna in the Gita proclaims that, "..among the chandas, I am Gayatri.

Among the various forms of puja, chanting of the 1008 names of Gayatri is very popular. This album contains these 1008 names, set to music. It is believed that those who recite or listen to these 1008 names, derive her divine blessings in the form of health, wealth and prosperity.

In the Devi Bhagwad Puran, Lord Vishnu himself tells sage Narad, that this 1008 name stotra of Gayatri leads to the elimination of all previous evils and is the giver of unlimited riches. Repeated chanting of these names is the best way to invoke Goddess Gayatri.
