In the past, according to historical information, the archaeological stone Roman amphitheater was adjacent to the first royal court of Jordan's founder, the late King Abdullah I bin Al Hussein, along with the famous Al Asbaliya School at the time.
The Roman Amphitheater, which is located in the heart of the Jordanian
capital Amman, and was built about 1800 years ago, is one of the greatest Roman monuments in the Levant region. And enjoy the parades, entertainment, time-lapse, duels between men and wild beasts, and others.
A visit to this prominent landmark calls for contemplation and reminiscing about the ancient root of Amman. In front of the amphitheater was a vast dirt plaza called the “Maidan”, where Amman’s people and visitors met in the past, on religious holidays, national occasions, and traditional annual festivals.
