A joint statement, signed by twelve opposition leaders, also revealed that the alliance intends to address the issue of conducting a caste-based census.

Additionally, the alliance has decided that its member parties will jointly organize public meetings across the country. The first such public meeting is scheduled to be held in Bhopal during the first week of October, as stated in the joint announcement. Meanwhile, the BJP criticized the opposition meeting, characterizing it as a gathering of the ""Anti-Hindu Coordination Committee,"" in an attempt to maintain pressure on the opposition amid the controversy over the Sanatan Dharma remark, as reported by PTI.

Abhishek Banerjee, a TMC MP, who was summoned for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on that day, did not attend the meeting on Wednesday. Other notable absentees included Hemant Soren and Lalan Singh of the JD(U). Those present at the meeting held at Sharad Pawar's residence included K C Venugopal (Congress), T R Baalu (DMK), Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena – UBT), Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Raghav Chaddha (AAP), Javed Ali Khan (SP), Sanjay Jha (JD-U), D Raja (CPI), Omar Abdullah (NC), and Mehbooba Mufti (PDP).
