Boilers are systems used mainly to generate steam in industries and PC boiler power generation. During operation, heat transfer loss occurs because slagging and fouling layer with low thermal conductivity is deposited on the external surfaces of the boiler tube system, which contributes to the overall poor energy efficiency of PC boiler power plants. In one study, a typical 1–1.5 mm fouling build-up on the boiler surface can increase fuel consumption by about 3%–8% . To Overcome this problem one of the solusion is applying the Thermal Spray Coating Technology combined with the right material which withstand the high temperature service, have high corrosion resistance, and have anti-slagging and fouling properties.
