Despite calls from some quarters stating that buying a 1080p projector nowadays is a waste of money, the DLA-X700 certainly puts the cat back amongst the pigeons. This latest model from JVC ticks all the right boxes in terms of picture performance and features. It offers outstanding black levels and dynamic range along with stunning colour performance and improved motion handling over previous generations. It has unique features such as eShift3 promising a 4K input and very good 4K playback, even if it isn’t a native 4K projector. There have been other features added like the dynamic iris which will likely keep those who demanded it happy. Overall the JVC X700 comes very highly recommended.
