Well, when the weather starts cooling down, it's like a green light for your cool-season grass to flourish. Plus, the soil temps are just right for those roots to do some serious growing.

So, what's the deal with this fall nitrogen blitz, you wonder? It's all about giving your lawn a nitrogen boost. This helps your grass recover from any summer damage and stock up on nitrogen goodies to see them through the winter. This extra stash of nitrogen not only toughens up your grass for the cold months but also jumpstarts the green-up process come springtime.

When doing the fall nitrogen blitz, its important to use fast release nitrogen. This helps avoid any delays in the nitrogen's nutrient delivery. In this video, we specifically use DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) (15-0-0) and ammonium sulfate (21-0-0) fertilizer at the following rates:

2lbs Ammonium Sulfate per 1k sqft: 2 X Per Month
