Описание: A team from the Illinois Institute of Technology competing in the US Department of Energy's Marine Energy Collegiate Competition booked three days of testing in the MHL's Wind Wave Tank. Their model scale wave converter was designed to operate offshore in Lake Michigan. The waves were scaled according to meteorological buoy data recorded on Lake Michigan. The IIT team's wave energy converter (WEC) utilizes three separate generators connected to the buoy. The generators were able to be configured in varying geometric layouts, allowing for the team to find an optimal configuration for power generation.
