BMW had earlier gained leadership in the luxury EV market with the introduction of models like the iX, iX1, i7 and more. The Bavarian carmaker has been able to hold on to that top spot towards the end of the year as well. All of the allocated iX models for 2023 were sold out within three hours of launch and there is a healthy demand for the rest of the lineup as well. Vikram Pawah, President, BMW India talks to us about how the brand has been able to come to this position and how their product strategies are developed, keeping the needs of the customers in mind. He also told us about the steady gain in sales seen in the Motorrad business and how the market is not yet ready for electrified BMW two-wheelers.
