Ford (CVN 78) Carrier Strike Group, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mahan (DDG 72) has played a key role in the multi-domain maritime offensive of Operation Epic Fury. Following its transit through the Strait of Gibraltar in late February 2026, the Mahan moved into the Eastern Mediterranean to provide critical air defense and strike capabilities as part of the largest concentration of American naval power in a generation.
