Описание: The Second Punic War was a Conflict between the Carthaginian Trade Empire and the Roman Republic, following their defeat in the first punic war, carthage was left wthout sicily, sardinia, corsica and most of their navy. looking west for possible new colonies, the barcid family started the punic exapnsion into the iberian peninsula. it would be from here that hannibal, the son of famed hamilcar barca, would start his war against rome, crossing the alps, destroying roman armies at Trebia, Trasimene, Cannae and eventually being beaten by Scipio Africans at the Battle of Zama - cementing Roman control of the mediterannean sea for the next several centuries.
