Israel has dropped all charges against five soldiers accused of sexually abusing a Palestinian detainee at Sde Teiman military prison in July 2024.

The military cited "exceptional circumstances" and difficulties in prosecuting the case fairly, including leaked evidence and investigative challenges.
The incident, which was partially caught on CCTV, left the detainee hospitalised with internal injuries.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the decision, calling the allegations a "blood libel," while human rights activists condemned it as a whitewash of systemic abuse.
