Titles read: "INTRODUCING 'THE VINGLE'".
Location of events unknown - somewhere in England.
M/S of the back view of a new, short hairstyle called the 'Vingle' - so-called because the partings form four Vs at the back. Brief shot of a woman with longish hair operating factory machinery - women are encouraged to take up this new style to avoid getting their long hair caught in machinery at work. Several shots of a woman having her long dark hair cut, combed and set into the 'Vingle'.
Commentator also mentions that "dust, grit and powder may get into the hair causing most distressing skin complaints". Great shots of the woman sitting under the hairdryer and turning to show off the finished style - looks like a 'normal' woman rather than a glamorous model. Brief shots of the same woman operating factory machinery.
Note: also appears in Dublin issue of 42/11 with slightly different commentary.
