Описание: Gir Interpretation Zone (GIZ) Devaliya is a nature reserve in Gir National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary, Sasan-Gir.

Devalia park is at 13 km distance from Sasan and comprises 412 ha. chain link fenced area carved out as a distinct eco-tourism zone. It provides a whole wildlife experience to tourists and reduces tourist overload from Gir National Park. Sighting of the Asiatic lion and other wild animals of Gir is easy, within a short time span, and at cheaper charges.

What to See:
Asiatic lions, Leopards, Blue Bull, Sambhar, Chital, Jackal, Blackbuck, Wild Boar, Mongoose, etc.

Along with mammals, many rare birds including Peafowl and vultures are common in the Devalia. The presence of the Savana habitat and other flora is also another attraction of the area.

How to Reach:
By Air: A person can come via flight up to Rajkot or Ahmedabad and then take a cab to reach Sasan and Devaliya Park.

By Rail: Can reach up to Junagadh by Rail through Rajkot or Ahmedabad and then travel by road for about 55kms to reach Devalia Park. Or can come via local trains from Junagadh to Sasan Gir village (though not preferred unless you have ample free time)

By Road: Devalia Park is about 56kms from Junagadh city, 61km from Somnath, and 13km from Sasan. Buses and cabs to Junagadh or Sasan Gir are available from all major cities of Gujarat.

Entry Timings & permit Charges: (Park remains closed Every Wednesday.)

To explore Devaliya Safari Park one has to get a permit first. Permits are generally issued from the tourist reception center. These days yet visitors can get their permits online from https://girlion.gujarat.gov.in/ and that saves them from the hassle of waiting in long queues for permits. During festival days like Janmashtami, Diwali, and even school vacations. By availing of the services of the online Gir Permit booking system, one can book the permits quite in advance. But you need to keep in mind that permits done online are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Monday – Friday:
Indian: INR 150 per head
Non-Indian: INR 2800 per person

Saturday – Sunday & Festival days:
Indian: INR 190 per head
Non-Indian: INR 3500 per person

Monday – Friday:
Indian: INR 800 (Up to 6 persons ) | Extra Child: INR 100
Non-Indian: INR 5600 (Up to 6 persons ) | Extra Child: INR 1400

Saturday – Sunday & Festival days:
Indian: INR 1000 (Up to 6 persons ) | Extra Child: INR 125
Non-Indian: INR 7000 (Up to 6 persons ) | Extra Child: INR 1750

Note:
For gypsy safari, the permit doesn’t include the Guide charge (Rs. 400) and Gypsy charge (Rs. 1500), which must be paid separately to respective Guides and Gypsy vehicle owners.

Where to Stay:
Lots of accommodation options are available at Sasan, which is 13 KM from Devaliya Safari Park. And it’s the base of Gir National Park. Accommodation options range from budget to medium range and even luxurious 5star hotels. For budget options, you can check the guest house opposite Sinh Sadan (reception of National Park Safari) at Sasan. For a medium-range budget, you can opt for lots of lodges and resorts. Thus, there is not much to worry about accommodations. Except during festival seasons when every single room gets booked.

In this complex, you can find various facilities like a coffee shop, washroom, kids' play area, souvenir shop, etc.

We booked our tickets on the spot, and we secure our seats on the last bus service.

But unfortunately, we are not able to see any active lions, we just spot two sleeping lions under the tree and some other animals.

Our safari ended up in about 30-45 mins. as we step from the park one old gentleman approached us for having lunch at his nearby farmhouse, he assures us that if we don't like the food then don't pay a single penny. We are not much Hungry but still want to try Some homemade Kathiyawadi food. so we went with him, his place is 5 mins away from the Safari park. SHIVAM DHABA is the name of his place, he serves unlimited food at just Rs.100/- per head, and trusts me guys you must try his food if you are visiting this place.
