Within the Book of John chapter 10, you will find instructions on how to be or become secure in Jesus Christ.
Verses 26 & 27 tells us we must Believe on Jesus, Listen to His word, and Follow through. In other words, when there's a relationship between you and the Son, you recognize His voice, you listen and trust Him, then you follow through with what you have been given.
The promise is that His sheep will never perish; there will be Eternal Security because Jesus has been our advocate since before His coming.
Placing trust, faith, and security in anything other than the Christ Himself... well, let's just say that eternal security would then not exist.
Check your unbelief.
