The Oru Beach LT Sport folding kayak is better than the Wilderness Systems iAtak 110 inflatable kayak for three reasons, but it's not for everyone!

After testing this foldable kayak for about a month, I like it better than this inflatable kayak for several reasons.

Lighter and more compact (Shoot in the morning before launching)

It's a lot easier to transport and carry because it's about half the weight of it's inflatable cousin.

The Beach LT Sport is also slightly more compact.

It doesn't wear me out setting it up.

Unlike an inflatable that requires me to pump it up or use an electric pump then top it off with a hand pump, this folding kayak is virtually effortless to set up.

It's super easy to paddle (Stop at a spot and shoot during the float)

One of the biggest surprises for me about his folding kayak was how well it paddled. It tracks straight, and since it's lightweight, you'll easily glide across the water.

However, the iATAK 110 outshines the Oru Beach LT Sport in 3 areas, too.

Stability

This inflatable kayak is WAY more stable than the foldable kayak. You can stand and fish from this platform, but I wouldn't dare try it in the folding yak unless I was willing to take a swim.

The way this inflatable yak is designed makes it a safer and more stable kayak, plus it has a higher weight capacity.

Rigability (Shoot in the morning before launching)

Oru tried to make the Beach LT Sport rigable, meaning you can put rod holders, cup holders, and other attachments on the rail system, but where the rails are makes paddling awkward at best.

However, the iATAK 110 has multiple spots that are reachable but out of the way while you're paddling. So you can add spare rod holders, fish finders, cup holders, and other kayak fishing gear and really make this rig your own.

Comfort

I have to give it to Oru. The seat they came up with is pretty comfortable, but it doesn't compare with the Ergoboost seating system. It's easily one of the most comfortable seats on the market, no matter what type of kayak you're paddling.

So, who should purchase which kayak?

Both yaks are in about the same price range of $1,200 to $1,400 and as far as I can tell are durable, though I haven't stopped testing either.

Casual anglers looking for an easy to pack kayak should go with the Oru Beach LT Sport. It's perfect for hiking to a secluded lake or spot on the river and fishing from for an hour or two. But the lack of rigging options makes it more of a recreational kayak than a fishing kayak.

Serious anglers should opt for the iATAK 110 because it's more fishing friendly. Also if you're a larger person or lack Olympic balance beam balancing capabilities the iAtak inflatable kayak is the way to go.
