In this video, I will explain the best method for urea fertilizer application in the agricultural crops. Urea fertilizer is the cheapest and easily available source of nitrogen. It is necessary to apply in all crops for their proper growth and development. Urea fertilizer losses are more than 50% in our crops by our growers. Urea losses are like;
1) Volatilization
2) Evaporation
3) Leaching
4) Denitrification
Our growers should focus on these losses and should apply urea in such a way to reduce these losses.
Urea application methods are;
1) Broadcasting before irrigation
2) Broadcasting after irrigation
3) Fertigation
All these method are usually adopted by our growers but the most efficient is broadcasting after irrigation when the crop moisture is high in soil.
